Timber frame (successful) experiment

I have designed and built this timber frame structure for a comunity near Montserrat. Many people helped and it was a nice experience, a non-stop woodworking project from 8AM till 8PM for 14 days.

All pieces ready for finishing and final assembly.

Dowels lock the joints and are secured by wedges that expand the wood. No nails, no screws: this way the structure will last as long as the wood bears the pass of time.
